Smokin Hogan

Welcome to the Smokin' Hogan!

Here you will find the braided rawhide items we currently have for sale.  I mark each item with the Smokin' Hogan, so keep an eye out for it when your buying or trading.  Due to the limited time I have to braid, I do not take custom orders.  If you see something I have made in the past, let me know and I can make another one.  I hope you like what you see, any feedback is gladly accepted.  Check back often, you never know when I'll get a little extra time to braid.  Thank you.

Support for Gunnery Sergent Starner

Often times we become displaced from the lives of those who volunteer to serve our country.  I would like you to take a minute and visit my friend Gunny Starner's website and read a little about him.
Gunny Starner is a Marine through and through, a husband and father of two.  He was recently injured in Afghanistan and is now on the slow road to recovery.  The Starner family has a level confidence and strength that are very inspiring.  I ask that please join me in supporting them as they travel down a difficult and very challenging road.

We thank you for supporting our friend!

God bless and Semper Fidelis!

Jake Hogan

The days here have been long and hot!!  We got back this week from a few days off, as much as I enjoyed the time, it left a lot of work to be done!  My hope is to get all the 2 year olds started this month and prepare a few hides for braiding this winter.  I hope to have a few more things to put up for sale before the end of the summer too.  I have been catching up on some past projects and they have left me very little time to braid.  The 2 year olds are looking really good and ready to go.  I've got my saddle, hackmores and McCarty's cleaned up and ready to go this week!  Wish me luck!  I hope to get a few pictures of the colts being started to post here.  It's a little hard to ride and take pictures at the same time!  Don't forget to find us here on Facebook!  I put a few pictures up on there as well as some updates on how the horses are coming along.  Look forward to hearing from you!
